So apparently this weekend was the day of festivals. Our original plan to shoot in Broad Ripple was foiled by the Broad Ripple Arts Fair so we called an audible to shoot in downtown Zionsville - one of my favorite spots. We arrived, only to realize there was also a festival going on in Zionsville - lots and lots of kettle corn and ice cream! So, we did our best to make it work - and I think we did just that. I had a blast with these two and I look forward to shooting their wedding this fall. Here's a few of my favorites from the day.
Whew! Finally... a fresh, new look for Bram Photography. I've been contemplating, brainstorming, and sketching logo concepts for the past few years. I felt I had begun to stare at the project for too long without ever finding a direction that I felt accurately described the direction I wanted to take the Bram Photography brand. I reached out to my good buddy Courtny Cotten to see if he would mind taking a stab at the project. Courtny's a killer UX designer for Universal Mind as well as a creative partner over at Krispypixel. I gave him a few buzzwords to draw from but really left a lot of the direction...
I've had the privilege of knowing Marie and Jeremy for some time now and it was great to get a chance to work with them in this capacity. We shared some moments of laughter and others of intimacy on a gorgeous, although somewhat chilly, day in downtown Zionsville. Despite the cold we somehow found ourselves standing in the middle of Eagle Creek making the final images for the day. I can't wait to capture some more memories this Fall when shooting their wedding.
I had a blast with Abbey and Travis last weekend. What a truly fun group of people. We couldn't have asked for better weather for an outside wedding. And, to top things all off, I spent most of the day wondering around my alma mater... Boiler Up! Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
What a blast! Both Nicole and Joel are two of the most enjoyable people I have ever worked with. I had the privilege of meeting Joel a few years back when I took A&D117 (B&W Film Photography) at Purdue. There was never a dull moment thanks to Joel's ability to make hours and hours in the darkroom something to look forward to. I was very excited to hear that we would have the honor of documenting his and Nicole's big day!
Congrats again to Joel and Nicole. The wedding was beautiful, the weather was fantastic and it was a pleasure to celebrate with them. I want to wish them both the best of luck!...
Last weekend I had the special privilege of shooting Melissa and Tayler's wedding. What made this wedding even more special was that the bride was an old friend from my hometown of Charlestown, Indiana. It was so great to both work with and catch up with old friends and classmates from my childhood.
Melissa and Tayler were great to work with. Melissa looked beautiful in her dress, as expected; meanwhile Tayler cleaned up quite nicely. We could not have asked for a better day to have an outdoor wedding. There were several months, days and hours involved in getting the venue wedding-ready and I have...
It's been a few weeks since I had the privilege of documenting Jim and Liz's wedding. What a blast! We were a little worried about rain, which is good luck on a wedding day right? What we ended up with was beautiful sunshine and a slight breeze. Liz and Jim got married at Serendipity at the Metropolis Mall in Plainfield. The venue was amazing and even did double duty, serving as the wedding location and the reception hall. The light features in the main drag at the mall provided an amazing backdrop when the sun went down. I had a great time working with both Liz and Jim and am excited to share...
This year was round two for me as the "Official Portrait Photographer of Miss Indiana State Fair" and as expected I've had a blast working with this year's Queen, Erika Burghardt. What a fun and pleasant individual. And, not mention easy going! But what else would you expect from someone who has been hand-selected to represent the Great Indiana State Fair!
I have to say I put Erika through quite the ringer during our sessions together. We made a mess with some silly string and attempted the infamous milk mustache. I look forward to seeing her reign over the Fair this year as she gets the experience...
thThis past weekend we had the opportunity of shooting Kara and Gus' wedding in Lafayette, Indiana. We have worked with both Kara and Gus in the past. They were both in the bridal party of Bitsy and Kevin's wedding that we shot last year, so we knew we would have a great time working with both of them. The wedding and reception were both held a beautiful Duncan Hall in downtown Lafayette. We started off the day working with Gus and his band of groomsmen at a few locations around the hall. Then, we met up with Kara and her bridesmaids to finish up their preparation. I must say Kara looked stunning...
I should start off by saying this shoot has a special meaning to me, as it sparked the beginning of a serious life change. Working with the crew at the Fitness Garage in documenting their training staff and facility really helped kick me in gear and start me on my way to a healthier life. More about this in a later post (possibly on the Fitness Garage Blog). I had the opportunity to work with the Fitness Garage Crew in creating some custom photography for the website that the krispypixel team was developing. The website turned out amazing and I couldn't be happier to have been a part of this project....
