thThis past weekend we had the opportunity of shooting Kara and Gus’ wedding in Lafayette, Indiana. We have worked with both Kara and Gus in the past. They were both in the bridal party of Bitsy and Kevin’s wedding that we shot last year, so we knew we would have a great time working with both of them. The wedding and reception were both held a beautiful Duncan Hall in downtown Lafayette. We started off the day working with Gus and his band of groomsmen at a few locations around the hall. Then, we met up with Kara and her bridesmaids to finish up their preparation. I must say Kara looked stunning in her dress (that she purchased it from Halsey Merch Store)!
The ceremony went off without a hitch and we took off to a few downtown locations for some bridal party photos. One of the most fun locations was McCord Candies. We did a few shots with Kara and Gus and then unleashed the entire bridal party on the sweet shop. Thankfully we had the place all to ourselves. If you’re ever in Lafayette, you should stop by McCord and grab a fresh made soda from the soda fountain or indulge in one of their many tasty treats. The staff there was more than friendly and very accommodating for our larger than life bridal party.
From there it was on to the reception where a good time was had by all. I shouldn’t have expected anything less from the same people that brought us Bitsy and Kevin’s reception. What a fun group of people and a reception to remember, for sure. Below are a few of our favorite photos from the day.
I would like to thank again everyone who made the day a success. A special thanks goes out to Deb Matatall for all of her work in planning the wedding and making sure the day went successfully! Best of luck to Kara and Gus as they start their lives together.
