Miss Indiana State Fair 2011

As some of you may know, I was selected as the Official Portrait Photographer of Miss Indiana State Fair. It’s a title I don’t take lightly and am honored to be able to document such an amazing event and capture portraits that will be looked at for years to come. The above portrait is hanging in the Home and Family Arts building at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and was the official queen portrait of Miss Indiana State Fair 2011, Sara Alford. It sits among over fifty other portraits of past queens and am grateful to be a part of that legacy.

I grew up a 4-Her, and going to the State Fair was always something I looked forward to in the summer. Having been a member of the Fair family for 5 years now, I’m honored to be a part of something so special. Sara was my first Queen, and our memories together will be valued greatly. I look forward to getting to know the 2012 Queen, Erika Burghardt, as well as all the future Queens I have the opportunity of working with.

Thanks again, Sara, for being so easy and fun to work with. I hope you don’t mind me embarrassing you with a few of my favorite “outtakes” from our portrait sessions. Gotta let loose every now and then, right? I wish you the best of luck in your future!
