A while back I had the privilege of shooting Patrick and Callie’s engagement photos. The day started off a bit rocky when one of my pro lenses (Nikon 24-70mm f2.8) fell from my bag onto the concrete floor of the parking garage. It broke… shattered, really. I was able to make due with my long lens and a good time was had by all. There was much rejoicing.

We spent the day walking around Purdue’s campus, snapped a few at their house with their dog, Bella, and got a few in before the rain came just before dinner in downtown Lafayette.

All in all it was a great day (minus my lens fail). Always good to catch up with a good friend. I’m looking forward to being a part of their wedding day, not as the photographer, but as a groomsman. Best of luck to both of you!
