Gutwein Wedding Preview

This past weekend I shot a wedding in Monticello, IN. The bride is someone very special to me as she has been a close friend since birth (at least it seems that way). We’ve known each other for nearly two decades and have had a lot of happy memories together. From the time we spent roller skating in the church parking lot as kids, to the time we played “Rondeau” over and over and over again in preparation for the State Solo and Ensemble competition in middle school, to our more recent weeknight visits working on projects, wedding planning, playing music and watching thunderstorms from my balcony, Mindy has  always been a very important person in my life. When she asked me to shoot her wedding, I turned down the offer just as fast. But as time went on, and Mindy’s persistence in asking me outlasted my ability to say no, I finally caved. Now that the wedding weekend is over, I have had time to reflect on my role as photographer for her special day. What I have realized is that I was able to created even more memories with Mindy, and at the same time capture them with my camera so that I can always look back on that day and relive it. I hope that her and her new husband, Jon, along with their family and friends feel the same way.

On to the photos!

They threw up fists for their engagement photos so I made them throw up fists again. None of us have yet to figure out why.
